TradItion and Tide: Life on The Mekong.
At 5am, the Mekong roars to life—a vibrant dance of tradition and rhythm. But this world of floating markets and river traders, unchanged for generations, is disappearing faster than the morning mist.
I felt her grip before I saw her—weathered fingers surprisingly strong, eyes that had witnessed decades of floods and harvests. "Boat," she chanted, dragging me toward the water with the force of the current itself. What followed was a journey through waters thick with brown sediment and plastic waste, where ancient rhythms clash with modern realities.
From the chaos of Can Tho's floating markets to the quiet resignation of traders watching their children choose offices over oars, this is a story about what we lose when progress comes at the cost of culture. It's about the hands that have guided boats along these currents for centuries—and the moment when they finally let go.
Come drift with me through the Mekong Delta, camera in hand, to capture a way of life that may not last forever.

Echoes of the Mountains: Life and Ritual in Cordillera
As the mist swirled around the jagged peaks of the Cordillera mountains, I found myself trekking deeper into the heart of the Philippines, chasing experiences few get to witness. Among the terraces carved into the mountainsides and the deep-rooted traditions that live in every stone, there was a moment that stayed with me: the day I stumbled upon a Punub, a traditional pig slaughtering ritual. Surrounded by the harsh scent of fire and blood, I sat among the elders as they worked, learning the quiet strength that pulses through the rituals that have been passed down for generations.
Later, a young girl, marked with the unique beauty of vitiligo, became my guide through the village of Cambulo. To me, she was the gatekeeper of this chapter of my journey—ushering me past the school she attended and across a swinging bridge that swayed beneath my feet like the fragile thread of time. In her presence, I realized how powerful it is to witness something so personal, so raw, and yet so undeniably universal.
This was a world where time seemed to slow down, where every step, every moment, felt like a bridge between the past and the future. Through my lens, I hope to share just a piece of this world with you—one that remains untouched, wild, and full of stories.
